Vancouver Airport Authority is committed to supporting worthy causes in the communities it serves through donations and sponsorships. Investing in the community is an important part of the corporate culture at Vancouver Airport Authority. Our community outreach program supports admirable not-for-profit, charitable and community-based organizations in ways that lead to long-term growth and success.

Support may be provided in the form of direct funding or in-kind contributions, such as the provision of time and expertise of our personnel or of airport services at reduced or no cost to the recipient.

Vancouver Airport Authority will align its donations, sponsorships with its Community Investment Guidelines. Applications for support will be considered within these focus areas:

• Family and Communities
  Contributions within this area will support organizations dedicated to:
  • building and supporting their community;
  • encouraging a healthy work-life balance;
  • conservation and education of the environment for future generations;
  • cultural diversity and the needs of new immigrants; and providing youth with educational experiences related to the airport business.


• Employee Driven Giving
  This area of focus aims to support employees in activities and volunteer efforts they are already involved with as well as consider new opportunities where employees can make a difference in their communities.



• First Nations
  Vancouver International Airport is inextricably tied to the history and culture of the West Coast of British Columbia. Initiatives in support of First Nations art, culture and heritage are considered under this focus area.
  
  

Business Development
In addition to the Community Investment Program, Vancouver Airport Authority is proud to contribute to business partners, organizations and projects supporting the aviation industry. Corporate sponsorship opportunities that promote business development are not categorized within the Community Investment Program. Examples of business development initiatives include contributions to forums, conferences and organizations designed to promote the aviation industry. This includes the purchase of corporate tables at events.
