Graham Clarke
Graham Clarke
Chair of the Board & Director at Large


Graham Clarke is the President and owner of the Clarke Group of Companies, which does business in the transportation, hospitality, marine and tourism sectors. Mr. Clarke is Chair of the Board of the Vancouver International Airport Authority and a Governor of The Vancouver Board of Trade.

In the past, Mr. Clarke has served as a director or chair of numerous organizations and companies.
   
Larry Berg

Larry Berg joined the Vancouver International Airport Authority at its inception in 1992 and was Senior Vice President Operations prior to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer in 1998.

Born in Alberta, Canada, Mr. Berg holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta and a Master of Science degree in Business from the University of Oregon. He commenced his business career in human resource management within the mining industry and was Vice President, Administration for a major Canadian energy company, prior to joining the Authority.

Mr. Berg is a director of the Vancouver International Airport Authority and a director of its subsidiary company, YVR Airport Services, which operates 18 airports within Canada and internationally. Mr. Berg is currently Chair of the Business Council of British Columbia, past Chair of the Canadian Airports Council and past Chair of the Greater Vancouver Gateway Council. He is a director of Airports Council International, a director of the VGH/UBC Hospital Foundation and a director of Canada Line Rapid Transit Inc, established to oversee the construction and implementation of the Richmond-Airport-Vancouver rapid transit link. He received an Honorary Doctorate in Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2003.
   
Peter Dhillon

Peter Dhillon is the CEO of the Richberry Group of Companies, a B.C.-based agribusiness. It is one of the largest shareholders and suppliers of Ocean Spray Cranberries, of which Mr. Dhillon is a Director and a former Vice Chairman.

A Richmond resident for the past 22 years, Mr. Dhillon remains active with a number of community boards, including as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Vancouver 2010 Organizing Committee, the Atomic Energy Board of Canada, and as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Vice Chairman of the Agriculture Land Commission. He was also Vice Chairman on the board of the B.C. Ferry Corporation and a Director of Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.

A leader in the airline industry for more than 27 years, Rhys Eyton served as President and CEO of Pacific Western Airlines from 1976 through its evolution into Canadian Airlines Corporation, from which he retired in 1995 as Chairman and Director. He has served on numerous public company and association boards and remains active on several.

Bruna Giacomazzi was appointed as a Director At Large by the Board of Directors in June 1998.

After more than 30 years in the financial industry, Bruna Giacomazzi retired as Chief Credit Officer of HSBC Bank Canada. She is now a director of the Ontario Technical Standards and Safety Authority Board; and a director of the University College of the Fraser Valley Foundation. Through her company, No. 215 Seabright Holdings, strategic and operations assistance are provided to organizations in financial difficulty.

R.E.T. (Rusty) Goepel is Senior Vice President of Raymond James Ltd. Mr. Goepel has been in the investment business since 1968, holding senior positions with successive firms. In 1989, he was a founding partner of Goepel, Shields & Partners where he served as CEO and then Chair. Following a merger with another firm, the company was sold to Raymond James Financial. He is Chair of the Boards of Directors for Cypress Capital Management and the Business Council of British Columbia, a Director of Premium Brands Ltd., The Canadian Olympic Committee, and the Vancouver Olympic 2010 Organization Committee.
   
Grayden R. Hayward

Appointed in 2006 to the Board of Directors by The Vancouver Board of Trade, Grayden Hayward is the President and CEO of Carrera Property Group, a Vancouver-based property development company.

Mr. Hayward has had a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, the latter his home for nearly 30 years. At the municipal level, he served as the City Administrator for the cities of Kamloops and Nanaimo and at the provincial level as an Assistant Deputy Minister in Alberta and Deputy Minister in British Columbia. In the private sector, Mr. Hayward was the Vice President of Environment, Government and Community Relations for Trans Mountain Pipeline Company Ltd. and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Bentall Corporation.

Throughout his career, he has been active in a number of community organizations. In 2002, he received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. Mr. Hayward is currently a Director of and Secretary Treasurer to the Vancouver Board of Trade.

Mary Jordan has spent more than 20 years in the airline industry, holding senior positions with American Airlines and Canadian Airlines. Following Air Canada's acquisition of Canadian Airlines, Ms. Jordan was President and CEO of their low-cost airline before being appointed Senior Vice President, Air Canada International and British Columbia. Most recently, she served as Provincial Executive Director of the BC Centre for Disease Control. She is a former Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade, a former member of the UBC Faculty of Graduate Studies Advisory Board and a current member of the Premier's Council on Seniors and Aging.

Carol Alter Kerfoot is a member of the law firm of Kornfeld Mackoff Silber LLP, with a commercial practice focused on business acquisition and divestiture transactions, and including real estate, shareholders' disputes and corporate governance. A Vancouver resident for over 35 years, Ms. Kerfoot has served as legal and strategic advisor to the Task Force for expansion of the Vancouver Convention Centre and as a director of several local non-profit organizations. She currently serves as Vice President of the Vancouver Museum Commission, and formerly served as a board member and chair of the Governance Committee of the B.C. Assessment Authority.
   
Philip Owen

Philip Owen's commitment to public service spans more than two decades. As Vancouver's longest serving consecutive-term Mayor, Mr. Owen was the force behind the Four Pillar approach to combating drug addiction; it emphasizes prevention, treatment, enforcement and harm reduction. Mr. Owen is active in a number of community organizations, including From Grief to Action, Ovarian Cancer Canada, Carnegie Centre 100th Anniversary Committee, , Opportunity International, the Vancouver Foundation, the Salvation Army, and the Kaiser Foundation's advisory board for national harm reduction.
   
John Watson

With more than 30 years project and engineering management experience, John Watson has been Vice Chair of the Airport Authority's Board of Directors and Chair of the Board's Governance Committee. Currently a management and strategic planning consultant through his firm, Tranquille Management Inc., Mr. Watson is also Past President of the Consulting Engineers of British Columbia and past President of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

He is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the British Columbia Safety Authority, the not-for-profit organization responsible for ensuring that British Columbia's elevators, railways, aerial tramways and amusement rides and gas and electrical installations are safely designed, installed and operated.

Mr. Watson's community and professional activities have included being Director of Canada Ports Corporation, a Commissioner with the North Fraser Harbour Commission, Trustee and Chair of the Richmond Public Library, and Chairman of the Richmond Library-Cultural Centre Building Committee.
   
Peter W. Webster

Peter W. Webster is a business executive with more than 30 years' experience serving as Director of a variety of public and private corporations in Canada and the United States. He has also distinguished himself with a lifetime commitment to community service and has served with a number of non-profit organizations at the leadership level locally, nationally and internationally. In 2007, he was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding contribution to sport development and the welfare of athletes in British Columbia and across Canada.

Among Mr. Webster's many community service activities, he is Chairman of the R. Howard Webster Foundation, the Chair of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation, he serves as a Trustee on the Vancouver Police Foundation and is a Governor of Acadia University.
