The Visitor Rebate Program (Goods and Services Tax rebate) has officially ended, following the announcement by the Government of Canada earlier this year. This means non-resident consumers who purchase short-term accommodations or goods in Canada and removed them from the country after March 31, 2007, are not eligible for a rebate under the old Visitor Rebate Program.
Visitors may still be eligible for a rebate under the new Foreign Convention and Tour Incentive Program. . For more information, visit the
CBSA website.
